Swachh Survekshan 2019, Indore is India’s Cleanest City, Indore pull off a Hat-Trick, Indore retained the cleanest city tag for third straight year in a row as per government's cleanliness survey Swachh Survekshan 2019. The Swachh Survekshan awards 2019 were conferred by Indian President Ram Nath Kovind at a ceremony in New Delhi.
Ahmedabad emerged as the 'Cleanest Big City' while Ujjain is India’s 'Cleanest Medium City'. Bhopal bagged the top spot for India’s 'Cleanest Capital/UT' in the Swachh Survekshan 2019. While the New Delhi Municipal Council area was given the 'Cleanest Small City' award, Uttarakhand's Gauchar was adjudged the 'Best Ganga Town' in the central government survey.
Swach Bharat Mission-Urban awards were given by President Ram Nath Kovind. MP urban development minister Jaivardhan Singh received the award along with elected representatives from Indore. It was declared as the cleanest city in India.

Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, is the cleanest big city with a population of more than 10 lakhs. Ujjain is India’s Cleanest Medium City with a population between 3-10 lakhs. Gauchar in Uttrakhand has been adjudged as the cleanest Ganga city for the first time. New Delhi Municipal Corporation is India’s Cleanest Small City (Population between1-3 lakhs). Delhi Cantonment is the India’s Cleanest Cantonment.
