Prashant Kishor Tweet on JDU Role, Sidelined Prashant Kishor shoots off telling tweet, JDU vice-president Prashant Kishor on clarified. With less than two weeks to go for the first phase of polling in Bihar, frictions within the ruling Janta Dal United have come to fore with party's second-in-command, Prashant Kishor, announcing that he will not be in-charge of campaigning.
“The NDA is fighting strongly in Bihar under the leadership of Modiji and Nitishji. On part of the JD(U), the responsibilities of poll management and campaign are on the broad shoulders of senior and experienced leader RCP Singh. In this initial stage of my political career, my role is to learn and to cooperate,” Kishor wrote on Twitter on Friday.
Interestingly, RCP Singh is a bureaucrat-turned-politician who has also served as the private secretary of Nitish Kumar when the later was a union minister as well as the principal secretary of the state after Nitish became its Chief Minister.
The tweet did not go down well with several party leaders. A JD(U) leader said: “His tweet is an obvious dig at RCP Singh, who has recently taken on Kishor for his statement on not agreeing with Nitish on rejoining the NDA. Kishor had said that Nitish should have taken a fresh mandate.”
