PM Narendra Modi Visits Tamil Nadu, Twitter #TNWelcomesModi Vs #GoBackModi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, will be visiting Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu, to address an election rally as well as launch various development projects. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Tirupur in Tamil Nadu to launch various schemes and to take part in a public meeting, hashtags like #GobackModi and #TNwelcomesModi started trending on Twitter.

Modi will address a massive rally which will also be attended by leaders of other National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners, including Chief Minister K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam from the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), S Ramadoss and Anbumani Ramadoss from the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leaders and S Krishnasamy of the Puthiya Tamilagam (PT).

The tweets from users in Tamil Nadu listed introduction of NEET, Modi not visiting Tamil Nadu when Cyclone Gaja hit the state’s Cauvery Delta region, imposition of Sanskrit and Hindi and not protecting Tamil Nadu’s interests in water wars with neighbouring states as reasons for protesting the Prime Minister’s visit.

However, the #GobackModi has been trending since Sunday morning as the tweets and retweets shoot north from a few thousands to over a couple of hours. Similarly, #GobacksadistModi is second on the trending hashtag list.
