Nancy Pelosi Accuses US Attorney General William Barr, Pelosi rips Trump rule allowing providers to deny care to LGBTQ. US Speaker Nancy Pelosi has accused the Attorney General William Barr of lying to Congress. Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec called Nancy Pelosi's allegation "reckless, irresponsible and false."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she still has reservations about initiating impeachment proceeding against President Donald Trump, whose administration evaded numerous congressional requests for information relating to his finances and staff this week.

White House legal counsel Emmet Flood said in a defiant letter that Trump has the right to tell advisers not to testify to congressional panels on the findings of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia inquiry. If Pelosi, as House Speaker, approves the process, an article of impeachment would have to get through a House vote.

“The final rule fulfills President Trump’s promise to promote and protect the fundamental and unalienable rights of conscience and religious liberty,” the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said in a statement. Republicans also condemned the remarks. Senator Lindsey Graham told reporters it was an "offensive statement" and said Ms Pelosi should apologise.
