Jio GigaFiber services from Sept 5, Jio Retail could be listed in the next 5 years, Mukesh Ambani Announces Jio-Microsoft Cloud Partnership. At the 42nd AGM of Reliance Industries today, he unveiled the Jio Fiber, the much talked-about fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service.

Ambani stated that the slowdown in some sectors of economy is temporary adding that India has potential to grow into $10 trillion economy by 2030.

Jio Fiber will roll out on September 05 on a commercial basis across India. This is also the third anniversary of Jio services in India. The company confirms that tariff packages will start at Rs 700 per month, with speeds ranging between 100Mbps and 1Gbps depending on the tariff plans.

Saudi Aramco to take 20 per cent stake in Reliance's oil-to-chemical business for an enterprise value of $75 billion. Saudi Aramco will supply 500,000 barrels per day of crude oil to Reliance refineries.

RIL, on October 17, 2018, announced that it would buy majority stakes in Den Networks Ltd and Hathway Cable and Datacom Ltd for Rs 5,230 crore, a move aimed at becoming the largest player in the broadband, cable TV and direct-to-home markets.

At the Reliance AGM, Ambani also revealed that Jio Fiber plans will come bundled with subscriptions to most leading premium OTT applications, possibly referring to Hotstar Premium and Netflix. As for watching new movies, premium Jio Fiber customers will be able to watch movies the same day they are released. The service is called Jio First-Day-First-Show, which will be launched in middle of 2020.
