Jawaani Jaaneman, Tabu on reuniting with Saif Ali Khan in Jawaani Jaaneman, Tabu opens up about working with Saif Ali Khan in Jawaani Jaaneman. The two had earlier acted in films like Biwi No. 1 and Hum Saath Saath Hain together.

Jawaani Jaaneman has been generating buzz from the time it was announced. First, we saw Saif Ali Khan and his on-screen daughter Alaia F at the Cricket World Cup in England. Now we know that Tabu has joined the cast.

The film also stars Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaia F. There has been much buzz that Tabu will play Alaia’s mother. Tabu said, “More than being anybody’s mother or sister, it is a character. I like the way my track has been conceptualised, there’s a correct balance of humour, but I don’t want to say more. We want it to come as a surprise.”

Jay Shewakramani, who is producing the film, called her to talk about the special appearance in the film. She is getting to do fun roles and gets to play with the character and look, she was ecstatic about it. She said that Jay was an old friend and when she heard the story, she discovered it was in fun space and was instantly ready for it.

Sharing an image of herself in which she has her back to the camera but has turned her head around to look straight at the lens, she tagged all the people involved with the film, finishing it off with “And all the many partners if any.” In the picture, Tabu is wearing blue denims, camel-coloured boots and a black poncho-style top with her long hair tied in a ponytail. Standing at a railway station, she has a sombre expression on her face.

Earlier, Saif had expressed his happiness at Tabu being cast in the film. He had told Mid-Day, “Tabu is a brilliant actor. This part is funny on paper, and I’m pleased that she has agreed to play it as now it will be hysterical.”

Tabu’s last release De De Pyaar De, which starred Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet, did well at the box office and crossed over Rs 100 crore.

A coming-of-age story, Jawaani Jaaneman is reportedly a funny take on how a man confronts the harsh realities of his life. Talking about Tabu’s coming on board, Saif earlier said in a statement, “Tabu is a brilliant actor. This part is really funny on paper and I’m so pleased she has agreed to play it as now it will be hysterical. I’m really looking forward to it.” The movie is currently being filmed in London on a 45-day long first schedul.
