Around 161 men and 31 women were arrested from a rave party being held illegally at a farmhouse in Noida, the police said Sunday.
Police said they were probing allegations that some officers of the local police station were hand-in-glove with the organisers. Eco Farms, the farmhouse, comes under the purview of Expessway police station. “Most of those arrested belong to Delhi, while some are from Haryana and only a few are from Noida,” he added.
The raid took place after Gautam Budh Nagar police received information at 11 pm that a party was underway at the farmhouse. Police denied that minors were present. Most of the party-goers were students of universities and colleges in Delhi and Noida, police said.
The entry fees for the party were kept at Rs 10,000 and the organizers used a Facebook pages to invite people and attract more participants, he added. Five of the key organisers of the event have also been arrested. They were identified as Amit Tyagi, Kapil Singh, Pankaj Sharma, Adnaan, and Balesh Kohli.
