Burger King is rolling out $1 tacos across America, Burger King Just Added $1 Crispy Tacos to Menus Nationwide, Drunk With Power. Burger King announced Tuesday that participating restaurants nationwide are introducing a $1 Crispy Taco. Prices will be higher in Alaska and Hawaii. According to Thrillist, the snackable favorite was available across the country for a limited time back in 2010, and taco-lovers have been anxiously awaiting their return ever since.
Burger King first tested out tacos in western states. “We’ve seen success with tacos in those restaurants and knew it was time to bring this west coast favorite nationwide,” Chris Finazzo, president of North America for Burger King, said in a statement. The new item adds “variety” to Burger King’s snack offerings, he added.
Burger King’s somewhat surprising decision to venture into Tex-Mex territory may very well have been inspired by the wild popularity of crunchy beef tacos at both Taco Bell and Jack in the Box. But, for real. Available nationwide, you can totally fling four quarters into your nearest drive-thru window and drive off with a crunchy tortilla packed with seasoned beef, shredded cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce, and savory taco sauce.
Though they’re not exactly the food you think of when stopping by Burger King, this actually isn’t the first time tacos have found their place on BK menus. Sadly, the Crispy Tacos will only be available for a limited time, but just how long that time period is has not yet been announced.
